Camp Buehring - 24 October 2004 Today marked a very sad day for the 1-171st. While on a training exercise, Sgt Dennis J. Boles died of a heart attack. Our prayers go out to his family. |

Camp Buehring - 25 Novemner 2004 Santa Claus visits the 1-171st for Thanksgiving. An unidenrified gentleman from Atlanta entertained the troops by playing Santa Claus for them. Everyone had a great time with plenty of food and commrodary. "The mess Hall Satff went out of their way to try and make everyone feel closer to home", said LTC Brent Bracewell, Battalion Commander. |
